And for Sonic Colors, it seems that they finally learned something from Mario Galaxy, not only in the music department. Also, most of the composers are from the PSO music team, that explains the syth-orchestra parts. The rock ones have been since SA.

Don't think is the right post to talk about great mario galaxy songs. I'll PM.
But the orchestral songs of Sonic are great if a bit repetitive at times. It's kinda let down that none of the levels has orchestral music, all of them are only in menus or in the final battle. I guess to keep the pace of the game.

Those two tracks are both included in the DS version though they are tagged as how they are in the Wii version since the songs for both games are essentially the same i.e act 2 would usually be the actual mission track. And the first track is the true final boss theme BTW.

The DS version rip that's posted here only has 59 tracks, and that's including the "extra" tracks. Is there anyway that someone could make a more complete rip, or expand this one?

I use Mac, and I'm guessing that the majority of people who rip music here don't, so I'm sure I couldn't use whatever method you supply me with. Besides, I'd rather leave it to the pros who already know what they're doing. I really don't know much at all about music file formats and such, except things like 320 kbps MP3 files are preferable, and FLAC is lossless and sounds better but takes up a lot of space. And why don't people use the AAC (.m4a) format more often around here? I know that it's supposed to be better than MP3, as far as lossy formats go... Oh, well. There's a lot that I don't know about this stuff, and I'd rather just leave it to the people who know what they're doing than post a rip that I made and have people tell me I did it all wrong. I know you were talking to goku, but he replied to !!!!! first and it seems he wants the same thing that I do; a complete rip of the DS version. Maybe goku can convert the missing songs himself, but I can't. For one, hunting down the right software to use for Mac is going to be enough trouble in itself, and even if I do find something that works, there probably won't be anyone who can give me a tutorial on it. And I just don't have enough time to learn all about these things, anyway, not to mention I probably wouldn't understand it even if I tried. When it comes to music, all I do is listen to it and enjoy it, not get all technical with it. I'm very grateful that there are people here who make an effort to rip video game music for everyone else to enjoy, but it's just not something I could do myself. I do enjoy tagging music and fixing up albums, however, and hopefully I can give back to this community in some way sometime, but right now I'm just looking for a complete rip of the DS version of Sonic Colors, and I'm surprised there aren't more people like myself who are after it as well, or who would rip it themselves.

The "Raw" file plays but no audio comes from it from it strangely enough. An alternative would be to do an in-line recording i.e record the actual song via emulator.

I downloaded it and it worked for me. About the track listings, it's pretty much reorganized closer to the how the soundtrack is organized with a few additions here and there. I don't have the tracklist for the original so I cant compare the two, sorry.

the starlight carnival act 1 theme was faded out too early...the actual time with fade out is about 5:10.
